What I:

1    I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
2    I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.

   When I act:

3    My enemies retreated;
they staggered and died when you appeared.

 God will:

4    For you have judged in my favor;
from your throne, you have judged with fairness.
5    You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked;
you have erased their names forever.
6    The enemy is finished, in endless ruins;
the cities you uprooted are now forgotten.

God will:

7  But the Lord reigns forever,
executing judgment from his throne.
8  He will judge the world with justice
and rule the nations with fairness.
9  The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.

    When we trust, God will not abandon.

10  Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.

    When we:

11  Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem.
Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds.

    God will:

12  For he who avenges murder cares for the helpless.
He does not ignore the cries of those who suffer.

We Ask:

13  Lord, have mercy on me.
See how my enemies torment me.
Snatch me back from the jaws of death.

    When we:

14  Save me so I can praise you publicly at Jerusalem’s gates,
so I can rejoice that you have rescued me.

Then God takes care of our enemies.

15  The nations have fallen into the pit they dug for others.
Their own feet have been caught in the trap they set.

    God is:

16  The Lord is known for his justice.
The wicked are trapped by their own deeds.

     The ones who ignore God.

17  The wicked will go down to the grave.
This is the fate of all the nations who ignore God.

    Hope for all:

18  But the needy will not be ignored forever;
the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed.

19  Arise, O Lord!
Do not let mere mortals defy you!
Judge the nations!
20  Make them tremble in fear, O Lord.
Let the nations know they are merely human.
Our part:

  1. act upon His word
  2. Tell of His goodness
  3. Ask
  4. Hope

His part:

  1. Judge justly
  2. Executes judgment
  3. Take care of our problematic enemies
  4. Avenges the helpless
  5. Care for the needy
  6. Snatch back from the jaws of death
  7. A shelter
  8. A refuge

Psalm 8

“I AM”
1    O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.

        God is the Lord of all, He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords,

        He reigns forever. Therefore you find safety in Him and Him alone.

2     You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength,
silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.

       I am most-high God. Do not fear the enemy who tries to intimidate you.

       Know that your God is the Most-High God. There is none above Him.

       Jesus Christ is exalted high above every name.

3    When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—

I am the creator, powerful and mighty, Lord, of lords. He is the Lord Most High, stronger and mightier than anyone or anything. When you face impossible circumstances or adversaries, now that your God is stronger.

4    what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?

I am the shepherd. He cares for you, the way a shepherd tends his sheep. He cares for you and leads you to still waters and green pastures.

5 Yet you made them only a little lower than
and crowned them with glory and honor.

“I AM” who is a friend:

John 15:15 I no longer call you slaves because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends since I have told you everything the Father told me.

6 You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority—

“I AM” of the whole earth

7 the flocks and the herds
and all the wild animals,

“I AM” the creator

8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,
and everything that swims the ocean currents.

“I AM”

Genesis 1:28 “Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

9    O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

I am the self-existent One. He has always existed and will always exist. You can always rely on Him because He is your eternal source.

Psalm 7

He will rescue you
1    I come to you for protection, O Lord my God.
Save me from my persecutors—rescue me!
 The Psalmist understands to first take an action step and then Ask!
2    If you don’t, they will maul me like a lion,
tearing me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
       When others tear you apart,
       look to the Deliverer who is always ready to rescue!
3    O Lord my God, if I have done wrong
or am guilty of injustice,
God who is the true “Judge” sees.
4    if I have betrayed a friend
or plundered my enemy without cause,
Even if, He will rescue you
5    then let my enemies capture me.
Let them trample me into the ground
and drag my honor in the dust.
We do not have to punish ourselves, Let the God of love decide.

6    Arise, O Lord, in anger!
Stand up against the fury of my enemies!
Wake up, my God, and bring justice!

      Never fear! The one who rescues never sleeps

7    Gather the nations before you.
Rule over them from on high.
He judges political injustice
8    The Lord judges the nations.
Declare me righteous, O Lord,
for I am innocent, O Most High!
God sees! God hears! God Acts! God Rescues!
9    End the evil of those who are wicked,
and defend the righteous.
For you look deep within the mind and heart,
O, righteous God.
Even when God reads our deepest thoughts, do not fear, He will rescue!
10   God is my shield,
saving those whose hearts are true and right.
The shield of God rescues!
11   God is an honest judge.
He is angry with the wicked every day.
The God who has a righteous anger, He will rescue you!
12   If a person does not repent,
God will sharpen his sword;
he will bend and string his bow.
       Hebrews 4:12 (NLT) “For the word of God is alive and powerful.
 It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and
       spirit, between joint and marrow.
       It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
God will expose and rescue!
13   He will prepare his deadly weapons
and shoot his flaming arrows.
        Psalm 76:3 “There he has broken the fiery arrows of the enemy, the shields,
and swords and weapons of war.”
        God’s weapons are unconquerable!
14   The wicked conceive evil;
they are pregnant with trouble
and give birth to lies.
 God knows and sees.
15   They dig a deep pit to trap others,
then fall into it themselves.
God knows how to turn all things around.
        Romans 8:28 (NLT)
        “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good
         of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
16   The trouble they make for others backfires on them.
The violence they plan falls on their own heads.
They will not win!
        God will rescue you!
17   I will thank the Lord because he is just;
I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
 2 Peter 2:9 (NLT)
       “So, you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials,
        even while keeping the wicked under punishment
        until the day of final judgment.”

Simply you Matter to God and He will Rescue you!

psalm 6

Faith and Victory go hand in hand

1    O Lord, don’t rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your rage.

When God waits,

like the Psalmist, we feel God is angry.

2    Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak.
Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.

We know we are weak and need healing

3    I am sick at heart.
How long, O Lord, until you restore me?

The question we all ask at times, “How long do we have to wait?”

4    Return, O Lord, and rescue me.
Save me because of your unfailing love.

The Lord seems far and “we think” we have to remind Him to love us

5    For the dead do not remember you.
Who can praise you from the grave?

We remind him that the dead cannot praise

6    I am worn out from sobbing.
All night I flood my bed with weeping,
drenching it with my tears.

The Psalmist understood how tiring battles can be.

7    My vision is blurred by grief;
my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.

Grief overtakes physically and emotionally.

8    Go away, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.

Then the psalmist gets his strength to fight back and tells the trouble to go!

No more whining!

9    The Lord has heard my plea;
the Lord will answer my prayer.

He has come to the point of remembering and commands his faith. Now knowing full well that God will do what he said he would do.

10   May all my enemies be disgraced and terrified.
May they suddenly turn back in shame.

In the end, the Psalmist has his strength back. He knows the enemy will fall!

Simply you matter, There are victories in your future
